It is the era of the so-called New Calendar. A foreign body called Meteorite-3 crash-lands on Aidoneus Island bringing with it the materials and science of what mankind dubs Extra Over Technology. The arrival of this technology is proof of the existence of extraterrestrial life and data recovered from Meteorite-3 indicates it is using a form of articulated mobile weaponry. The fate of the earth sphere will be irrevocably altered.

• Stage 01 - The steel ghost
  Seven years have passed since Meteorite-3 slammed to Earth. It is the year 186 N.C. (New Calendar), and young Ryusei Date is attending a tournament for the popular robot fighting game "Burning PT." But when the area suddenly comes under attack by a swarm of mysterious, bug-shaped mobile weaponry, Ryusei and classmate Kusuha Mizuha will be forced to fight for their very lives. In the midst of this Ryusei finds himself coming face-to-face with a robot of a very different type - a military-issue Personal Trooper.
• Stage 02 - Awakening power
  To protect Kusuha, Ryusei boards the mass-manufactured Gespenst MK-II Type TT, a form of Personal Trooper. Following a desperate battle, he succeeds in fighting off the bug-shaped weaponry. But standing apart from the battlefield, someone has been watching his progress...Ingram Plissken, a soldier who offers Ryusei a chance to join the Earth Federation Army.
